Our first visit to this cinema chain. it was some trek to actually get the screen where we were to see this film. It took us nearly 10 minutes to get up all the escalators, definately not one for those suffering from vertigo - such as my wife !!
Suprisingly the screening was only a 3rd full and there were a lot of small children quite obviously as this was the age group this film is targeting.
The film itself was very appealing to youngsters. Our two children aged 10 & 8 thoroughly enjoyed this film, and immediately asked me to buy it for them on DVD as soon as it is released.
This was a very good update on the original film, with some imaginative touches which certainly had the children asking when they can have their own nanny McPhee. The all british cast is a testament to the standard of british acting. I dearly hope the children go on to forge careers in their own right.
If i was to give this film a score out of 10 it would be an 8/10, i think the children would disagree with this though and definately give this a 9/10. I personally thought the pigs and animals was a bit too much, but this is what made the film so appealing to the children.
This should be on your list of one of the things to do with the children during the forthcoming half term holiday
